外院网讯(通讯员 冯婷)为推进必威betway大学外语课程改革,2024年9月12日下午两点,大学英语教学部在四楼大英部办公室召开了2025版人才培养方案修订深度研讨会。必威betway官网入口副院长冶慧颖和大英部全体老师参加,会议由大英部主任冯婷主持。
会上,大学英语教学部主任冯婷指出在教育部提出全面深化外语教学改革和加快建设教育强国的大背景下,大学外语作为必威betway的一门公共必修课,承载了全校课程建设和人才培养的巨大使命,大英部教师要根据社会对我们提出的新要求进行深入思考。随后,针对必威betway教务处在2025版人才培养方案修订中对大学英语课程提出的建议,在前期深度调研的基础上围绕大学英语课程设置、小语种开设及编班、学生学分免修政策和无纸化测试等几个方面提出了初步的改革意见和建议。随后全体老师针对以上的建议进行了充分的讨论并形成一致意见。
最后,冶慧颖副院长对此次研讨进行了总结。她充分肯定了大学英语教学部对全校各个专业英语教学作出的贡献,同时也对大学英语教学部前期所做的诸多改革尝试给予肯定。她指出大学外语课程改革需要汇集所有人的力量,希望全体老师在新的社会形势下要积极识变、善于应变、主动求变,在改革方案的制定和推行中深入思考、大胆创新,敢于走出自己的舒适区,进一步提升大学外语课程的教学质量,着力培养具有国际视野和创新能力的高素质应用型人才,为学校的人才培养和内涵发展做出更大的贡献。(图片 冯婷/审稿 冶慧颖)
College English Department Holding Seminar on Curriculum Reform
(Correspondent: Feng Ting) In order to advance the reform of college foreign language courses in our university, the College English Department held a seminar on the revision of the 2025 talent cultivation program on September 12. Vice Dean of the Foreign Languages School Ye Huiying and all faculty of the College English Department attended the seminar, which was chaired by the Department Head Feng Ting.
Department Head Feng Ting pointed out that under the background of the Ministry of Education's proposal to comprehensively deepen foreign language teaching reform and accelerate the building of a powerful country in education. As a public compulsory course in our university, college foreign language course shoulders a huge mission of curriculum construction and talent cultivation. Faculty in the College English Department should engage in deep reflection based on the new demands society has placed on us. Subsequently, in response to the suggestions put forward by the Academic Affairs Office of the university for college foreign language courses in the revision of the talent training program for the 2025 edition, on the basis of in-depth investigations in the early stage, College English Department put forward preliminary reform opinions and suggestions in several aspects such as college English curriculum setting, the offering and class formation of minor foreign languages, the credit exemption policy, and paperless testing. All teachers had a full discussion on the above suggestions and reached a consensus.
Finally, Vice Dean Ye Huiying summarized the seminar. She fully recognized the contribution of the College English Department to English teaching in various majors across the university and also affirmed the department’s previous reform attempts. She noted that the reform of college foreign language courses requires the collective effort of everyone. She hoped that all faculty would actively recognize changes, be adept at adapting to changes, and take the initiative to seek changes under the new circumstances. In the formulation and implementation of the reform plan, she encouraged deep thinking and bold innovation, daring to step out of our comfort zones, further enhancing the teaching quality of college foreign language courses, and focusing on cultivating high-quality talents with an international vision and innovation ability, making greater contributions to the university’s talent cultivation and connotative development.
